I've written to David Tombs, who makes AOKTS, and I gladly received his reply today ;)

Hi ColdStar,

Thanks for the report. Right now AOKTS doesn't really support Unicode,
so I'm surprised it ever worked.

I'm actually (believe it or not!) working on AOKTS again right now, and
Unicode support is one of my goals. See
